🌸 Meet Rikki 🌸

Rikki is the true meaning of a miracle and a strong survivor. She was dumped at a Walmart parking lot where she slowly lost her trust in humans. She lived there for over a year, riddled with demodex mange and painful sores, doing her best just to survive each day.

When we learned about her, we immediately headed her way. With the help of animal control officers and a dart gun, we were finally able to get her safe. From there, her healing began — and today Rikki is fully healed inside and out.

Now, we are searching for the most perfect home for this incredible girl. She is dog, cat, and kid friendly, and she is leash trained. She will need a fenced yard, and she deserves a family that will love her for the rest of her life.

Rikki is a 2-4 year old very sweet girl and a medium-size dog who has survived more than most ever will. Please consider giving this miracle girl the loving home she has waited so long for.

Meet Star!
 She is a 6-year-old Great Pyrenees mix and a beautiful large girl with the sweetest heart. She came to us as an owner surrender, and the only home she had ever known is now gone. She is understandably shy when she first meets new people, but once she feels safe, her soft and loving personality shines through.

We are currently working on leash training and helping her build her confidence again. What we do know is that she is wonderful with other dogs and enjoys having calm companionship around her.

Star is ready to start a new chapter with someone who will give her patience, love, and a place where she can feel secure again.

Meet Hudson! 🐾

Hudson is a fun, high-energy 1-year-old Heeler mix with a big love for the outdoors and playtime with other dogs. He thrives on activity and would be happiest with an active family who enjoys letting him run, explore, and enjoy the backyard.

He is people and kid friendly, incredibly sweet, loyal, and smart, and eager to bond with his forever family. Hudson will do best in a cat-free home, where he can focus all his love and energy on his people and canine friends.

New rescue intake from 1-13-26. On December 30th, this dog was posted at the same Walmart in Mexia, TX where Rikki was originally found. At that time, he appeared approachable, and we asked in the comments if animal control had been contacted. We never saw any follow-up posts, and as usual, rescue life stayed busy.

On 1-13-25, a woman who lives behind the Walmart reached out to us about what appeared to be the same dog. This time, he was covered in blood and limping. It was also reported that he was tied to a female dog who was loose in the area. My mom immediately got ready and headed that way.

He is dog friendly but will need a home without cats. He is a smaller boy around 45-50 pounds. We are accepting applications. Once healed he will be available to adopt. 

Meet Betty 🤍

Betty came to us a few years ago after we had to trap her. She had been abandoned in horrible condition, and we worked hard to nurse her back to health. Through patience, care, and time, Betty healed—both physically and emotionally.

She is a 3–4 year old Akbash who was later adopted by a man with sheep, where she was trained as a livestock guardian dog. Sadly her owner passed away and she was came back to the rescue. Betty took her job seriously and did very well protecting her flock.

Betty is people and kid friendly and has shown no reactions to chickens or goats, making her a great fit for a farm or rural property. She thrives when she has a purpose and would love a home where she can work and belong again.

 Marley’s Journey 🐾💔

Sweet Marley was found dragging her back legs, struggling to survive. After taking her in, x-rays revealed something devastating — she had been shot with a BB gun, and the pellet was lodged dangerously close to her spine.

Despite it all, Marley remained gentle and trusting.

One of her back legs was no longer usable, so she underwent amputation surgery. Now she’s rocking life as an adorable little tripod! 🐶💪

Marley is not yet available for adoption, as she’s still going through physical therapy to build strength and mobility. But every day, she gets a little stronger — and her spirit shines brighter.

Meet Cego 💕

She was 1 of 13 dumped in the country with no home in sight. She is brand new to the rescue so we don't know a lot right now other than she is scared. She will get vetted next week and will be ready to adopt. We are accepting applications!

Born on the streets, Bo is part of a litter that was rescued and cared for at our shelter while waiting to transfer to a northern rescue. Sadly, that transfer never happened—but we’re determined to find Bo the perfect forever home!

Bo is up to date on vaccines and has a sweet, gentle nature. He’s great with dogs, cats, and kids, making him an easy addition to any family.

But don’t worry—she’s healing beautifully and is well on her way to a full recovery!

DeeDee is dog and cat friendly, and while she’s a little shy around strangers, she truly blossoms in a calm and loving home. She may keep her distance from kids at first, but with time and patience, she’ll warm up and feel safe.

She’s the kind of pup who just needs a gentle hand and a little understanding—and in return, she’ll be your most loyal companion.

Meet Chico 🐾
Chico is a tiny 5-year-old Chihuahua who has survived heartbreaking conditions. He was rescued from a hoarding case where he had been living inside the walls of a home just to feel safe. Despite everything he’s been through, Chico is a fighter with a gentle soul.

He is now fully vetted, but Chico is not available for adoption at this time. He is still on his healing journey, learning that human touch can be kind and that he no longer has to be afraid.

With patience, love, and time, we know Chico will continue to blossom. For now, he is safe, cared for, and finally beginning to experience what it means to be truly loved. 💙
